About Me

Justin LaRosa is a licensed clinical social worker and has over 20 years of experience working with individuals, groups, and organizations. He is a speaker, author, and ordained minister.

He has worked at Hyde Park United Methodist since 2005, first as the Minister of Discipleship and now as the Director of The Portico. Prior to Hyde Park, he worked for the Child Abuse Council, Inc. as the Director of Supervised Visitation and the Fathers’ Resource and Networking Center, which served parents who have abused their children, incarcerated fathers, and fathers seeking education and support. 

Justin has a certificate from Asbury Theological Seminary, bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of South Florida. He studied hotel, restaurant and institutional management at Pennsylvania State University. Justin is the author of The Jesus Challenge: 21 Days of Loving God and Neighbor, and has co-authored three books, A Disciple’s Path, A Disciple’s Heart, and SENT: Delivering the Gift of Hope at Christmas
